Paragraph Name: ARCHIVE.??? (Not for use with OnBase Optical Disk system)
??? = Specific report prefix (i.e. START, ACH, SD, ATM, etc)
PA
* ARCHIVE START REPORTS TO OPTICAL DISK
* WRITTEN BY BOB STUBBS, DATA MANAGEMENT SERVICES, 11 SEP 97
ARCHIVE.1 -u start -p START.] -c START -d -h
Explanation of different parts of the sentence:
-u start This is testing to confirm that the reports were run by the User
start This feature is optional and therefore could be excluded if no specific
user runs START.
-p START.] This is the name of the reports to be archived. By using the
wildcard ']', it will archive all reports with the prefix 'START.'
-c START This is the Class name where the reports will be archived.
-d This will flag the reports that were archived to be deleted. You must
still run Option #4 within the ARCHIVE menu to delete the items that have been
flagged for deletion. This deletion process should ONLY be run after you have
successfully backed up the Optical Disk platter.
-h This will hold the archive audit report in a queue until prompted to
print.
Important Note: The sentence to print all queued archive audit reports is
ARCHIVE -a
This must be run on a regular basis (i.e. daily), in order to report any archiving errors. If this report is not run on a daily basis, the file will grow very large and will slow down the process to retrieve items from SP.MAINT I suggest that if this archiving process is run only once per day, usually after FINISH, and archives multiple reports, the last line of the Paragraph should print this audit report.
